[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 창원 강소연구개발특구의 원활한 육성을 위해 한 국전기연구원(KERI, 원장 김남균)과 함께 강소특구 특화분야 우수기업을 발굴하기 위한 ‘KERI -Members 발굴 공모전 행사’를 17일 개최했다.
 
이번 행사는 창원 강소특구 특화분야인 ‘지능전기 기계융합’ 분야에서 우수한 아이템을 보유 하고 있는 초기 창업기업을 발굴하고, 지역 VC의 투자 및 한국전기연구원의 기술 연계로 창 원시 관내에 유망 스타트업을 유치하기 위한 일종의 ‘창업 오디션’이다.
 
사전심사를 통과한 전국의 7개 기업 ㈜별따러가자, ㈜에이랩스, ㈜와이드브레인, ㈜첨단랩, ㈜코스모스랩, 오션스바이오㈜, ㈜뮤즈블라썸을 대상으로 IR 발표를 듣고 심사, 시상 순으로 진행했다.
 
심사 결과 대상은 ㈜첨단랩, 최우수상은 ㈜코스모스랩, 우수상은 ㈜별따러가자, ㈜뮤즈블라 썸, 장려상은 ㈜오션스바이오, ㈜와이드브레인, ㈜에이랩스가 수상팀으로 선정됐다. 특히 ㈜ 첨단랩 기업은 폐실리콘 자원순환 기반 베어링용 고부과 세라믹볼 국산화기술이 높은 평가 를 받아 대상의 영광을 안았다.
 
수상한 7개 기업에게는 총 800만 원 상당의 부상이 수여됐고, 향후 강소특구의 전주기 창업 지원 프로그램 및 사업 연계, 기술 멘토링 등의 체계적인 지원 혜택을 받는다.
 
홍남표 창원시장은 “유망기업 발굴 및 성장 지원은 창원의 미래 50년을 위한 초석이다”고 평 가하면서 “KERI-Members 공모전이 좋은 아이템을 보유한 기업인들의 성공 창업의 산실이 될 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
 
한편 이번 공모전은 창원 강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스사업의 일환으로 진행됐다. 해당 사업 은 유망 창업자를 발굴하고, 이들에게 교육 및 아이템 검증, 투자 및 외부사업 연계 지원 등 창업 전주기를 지원하는 프로젝트다. 창원 강소특구의 기술핵심기관인 KERI를 중심으로 ㈜ 경남벤처투자가 프로그램을 공동 운영하고 있다.
